ESA (FAQ)

If you meet FHA criteria and have valid documentation, your housing provider must consider your request.

Does this guarantee approval?

No. Housing providers make the final decision, but proper documentation strengthens your request.

How long is the letter valid?

Most providers require annual updates.

Do you offer multiple animal letters?

Yes, when clinically justified.

Do you train animals?

No. ESAs do not require special training.

**Legal Disclaimer (ESA): The Psychological Evaluation Center Global Network Alliance (PECGNA) provides professional mental health evaluations solely to determine if an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) is clinically indicated under applicable law. Our evaluations and letters are issued only when clinically appropriate, based on the professional judgment of a licensed clinician.

We do not guarantee or promise acceptance of ESA documentation by landlords, housing providers, property managers, airlines, or any other entity. ESAs are not recognized as service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and have no public access rights (see ADA guidance: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010/#emotional-support-animals) . PECGNA does not provide legal advice, enforce accommodation rights, or intervene in disputes with third parties. All final decisions regarding accommodations or other rights are made by the respective housing providers or authorities. Clients are strongly advised to seek independent legal counsel regarding their specific rights and obligations.

PSA documentation is issued only when clinically appropriate, in the professional judgment of a licensed clinician. We do not train animals, guarantee public access or housing approvals, or ensure acceptance by any third party. For official ADA guidance on service animals, see: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-2010/ .
