Dr. Alexandra McDowell is a licensed clinical psychologist in California who has extensive experience in psychodiagnostic and forensic evaluations. For her undergraduate studies, she attended University of California, Davis with a major in psychology and minor in human development. She received her doctor of psychology degree from Alliant International University in San Francisco, CA. She has clinical experience across various settings, including community mental health centers and correctional facilities. She completed an APA accredited predoctoral internship at the California Health Care Facility and a postdoctoral internship at the HOPE Program specializing in individual therapy, group therapy and psychosexual evaluations. She is extensively trained in psychological assessments and utilizes a mixture of humor, warmth and empathy in order to provide a safe, supportive and collaborative environment for individuals going through the ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) family building process.
Dr. McDowell’s goal is to provide specialized and compassionate care in her psychological evaluations in order to support prospective parents, carriers and donors.
